Clear answers when you need to act quickly.

Use this page to understand the main FindThem functions: reporting a missing person, searching public cases, sending a private tip, managing an existing case, and getting account or support help.

Emergency or immediate danger?

Contact the appropriate local emergency service or law-enforcement authority. FindThem is a public-interest information platform, not an emergency-response service.

01

How do I report a missing person?

Create or sign in to your account and start a missing-person case. Provide accurate identifying information, a clear recent photograph where available, useful last-seen details, and only the information that is appropriate to make public.

  1. Go to Report a Missing Person and create or access your account.
  2. Complete the case form carefully.
  3. Upload clear, relevant photographs you have permission or lawful authority to use.
  4. Review the public information before submitting.
  5. Submit the case for review.

A submission may be reviewed before it becomes publicly visible. If changes are required, follow the instructions shown in your dashboard.

02

What information should I include?

Useful information usually includes:

  • the missing person's name;
  • a clear, recent photograph;
  • age or other appropriate identifying information;
  • general last-seen location and date;
  • clothing or physical-description details that may help recognition; and
  • other accurate circumstances that are relevant and safe to publish.

Do not add identity-document numbers, passwords, banking information, exact private addresses, intimate material, or unnecessary sensitive medical or family information. Read the Safety page before publishing a high-risk case.

04

I have information. How do I send a tip?

Open the relevant public case and use the private tip function. Give specific, factual information rather than speculation. Where helpful, include the approximate time, place, direction of travel, and a safe way to contact you.

Do not post a sensitive location publicly simply because you believe it may be useful. If someone appears to be in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local authority as well.

05

How do I update or manage my case?

Sign in and open your dashboard. From your case area you can view the case, make permitted edits, respond to revision requests, add or manage images, review private tips, and use the available case-status actions.

If the person has been found, the situation changes, or important public information becomes inaccurate, update the case promptly. Do not leave an active public listing circulating when you know it is no longer appropriate.

06

Why is my case waiting for review or revision?

Case review helps protect missing people, families, and the integrity of the directory. A submission may require revision if information is unclear, appears unsafe to publish, lacks necessary context, conflicts with platform rules, or needs another moderation check.

Check your dashboard and notifications for the current case status. If a moderator has requested changes, update the submission and resubmit it through the provided workflow.

07

Account, password and sign-in help

If you cannot remember your password, use the password-reset option on the sign-in page. If your account supports Google sign-in, use the connected sign-in method associated with that account.

Signed-in users can manage supported profile, password, phone, connected-account, session, data-export, and account-request functions from account settings. Never give another person your password or one-time security code.

08

Privacy, corrections and removal requests

If public case information is wrong, unsafe, outdated, or you believe it should not be displayed, use the available case-management tools where you are the authorized owner. For other privacy or removal concerns, contact the FindThem team.

Account deletion, public-case removal, and internal record retention are not always the same thing. Some moderation, safety, security, or audit records may need to be retained. See the Privacy policy for more information.

09

Still need help?

Use the Contact page for account problems, technical issues, privacy concerns, moderation questions, or other support requests. Include enough detail for the team to understand the issue, but do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.
