About FindThem

Every missing person is someone's person.

We are a non-profit team brought together by a simple hope: that every person searching for a missing relative, friend or loved one should have a better chance of finding them.

FindThem gives families and communities a careful place to publish reviewed missing-person reports, help those reports travel further, and receive potentially useful information privately.

Why we exist

Because no family should feel that they are searching alone.

When somebody disappears, families can quickly find themselves trying to coordinate photographs, descriptions, locations, social posts and incoming information across many different places. In a difficult moment, even the simple task of getting accurate information in front of more people can become overwhelming.

FindThem was started by a team of 19 people—including lawyers, human rights advocates and nurses—led by Richard Navanda. They were united by a shared determination to help make sure that every missing person has the best possible chance of being found.

FindThem was created to make that part of the search more organised and accessible. A case can have a dedicated public page that is easier to share, easier to revisit and designed around the information that may help someone recognise the missing person.

We believe technology should serve the people doing the searching, not turn their pain into entertainment. That is why the platform is built around review, privacy, responsible sharing and clear safety boundaries.

How we think

Built around dignity, care and hope.

Finding someone can depend on visibility. Responsible visibility depends on trust.

01

People before numbers

Behind every report is a person, a family and a community waiting for answers. We design every part of FindThem with that human reality in mind.

02

Care before visibility

Public attention can help, but it must be handled responsibly. Reports are reviewed before publication and sensitive information should stay out of public listings.

03

Useful information, privately

People who may know something can send information through the case page without turning sensitive leads into public speculation.

Our commitment

A platform that helps without adding more harm.

We cannot promise that every case will be solved. What we can do is keep building a responsible place where a family's search can be seen, shared and supported.

01

Keep the platform focused on helping reunite missing people with those searching for them.

02

Review reports before they are made visible to the public.

03

Encourage factual, respectful information instead of rumours or online accusations.

04

Give families and reporters practical tools to share cases more widely.

05

Protect private information as carefully as the platform allows and keep safety guidance visible.

06

Be clear about what FindThem is: a community platform, not law enforcement or an emergency service.

An important boundary

FindThem supports a search. It does not replace the authorities.

FindThem is not a police service, emergency service or investigative authority. Information on the platform may originate from users and should be treated carefully. Urgent safety concerns, suspected crimes and immediate risks should be reported to the appropriate local authorities or emergency services.

Our hope

More people seen. More information shared. More families reunited.

If one carefully shared report reaches one person who recognises a face, remembers a detail or knows where to direct useful information, the platform has done something worthwhile.
